Otherworldalong – Dime Store Magic

Ahhh, the third month of my readalong book club. Even with so few people, it’s been a lot of fun so far. I’d love to see more of you guys join. So if you love adult urban fantasy, if you’re looking for a completed series with plenty of romance that you can really sink your teeth into? Why not join us? We’re now on discord, so we have separate channels to talk about each of the books, which gives you plenty of time to catch up with us and then still have somewhere to chat about what you just read!

This month we’re moving away from the werewolves for a bit and onto the witches. Yep, you read that right, actually, you may have already guessed that from the title! Dime Store Magic follows Paige Winterbourne, programmer and hacker by day, witch and future coven leader by night. Or, whenever she needs to do her witch work, actually.

Paige was introduced in Stolen, and this book is set a few months after that. She’s adopted Savannah and is trying to help her settle into her new life. Things aren’t easy, and a character from the previous book seems to be trying to hunt her down. But they aren’t the only one. A sorcerer’s cabal wants Savannah and Paige will do anything she can to keep her from them. With all this going on, it’s not a surprise when Paige’s magical life seems to come to the forefront, and even her neighbours are about to find out what she really is.

I am so excited to get onto this book. Where Stolen helped open up the magical world, Dime Store Magic is a book where you really start to get into the magic side of things. This is a full series re-read for me, and I know this is the point where I really started to enjoy the books, even if I wasn’t obsessed yet. This is my first time re-reading this one, but it’s been a while, so my memory of it isn’t great. But I’m so excited to see what people think about this one!

Would you like to join in with us? Let me know!
