Borrow-A-Bookathon – How Did I Do?

So, unsurprisingly, I didn’t see other people participating. But that’s okay. I did use this as an opportunity to get through some of the borrowed books I’ve been wanting to read!

I managed to get through four borrowed books! Two of them were pretty short, admittedly, but I did start work this week. So I did read a little less. And my first book took me longer than I’d have liked.

What I read:

  • Containment by Caryn Lix (Scribd)
  • Stolen Ice Bride by Angela J. Ford (Kindle Unlimited)
  • Lord Sunday by Garth Nix (Library)
  • Tempted by Zoe Ashwood (Kindle Unlimited)

There were also a couple of books that I tried to read that I gave up on, so I won’t list those.

I really did enjoy doing this. It was a little stressful, as I felt like I should be reading the books I actually own. But there’s also a lot of books that I want to borrow. I was finally able to read Containment, which I’ve been meaning to do for a while. Now I just need to get to the third and final book!

Some of these were books that I probably wouldn’t be in a rush to pick up if I owned them, but I was curious, and they were short. So I actually picked them up and found them to be a lot of fun. Borrowed books really are great for that.

Next time I do this, it probably won’t be labelled as a readathon. I’ll just decide to read a load of borrowed books.
