How are we in August already?! I’m at a point in the year where I realised that I did not leave enough space for all the ARCs I would request and get in my journal. So that and needing to get my physical TBR way down has meant that I am severely limiting what ARCs I ask for now. That being said, I do still have a few for this month.
My only reading goal is to finally finish the pile of books I’ve been working through for nearly two months. The pile was massive, and with ARCs and library books on top…it just hasn’t really gone down. I am getting through it now, and I think I should get to the bottom by the end of August.
I’ll be so glad to be able to pull from the jar again. My next pile is so much smaller.
Obviously, as usual, I’ve decided to note down a few of the books that I want to read this month. This list is going to be very short, as I don’t really have many books that I want to talk about this month. Don’t get me wrong, I want to read all the books on my pile. But there are a lot of sequels.
ARCS
I mentioned that I have a few ARCs that I need to get through. I think I’m going to stick with listing these from now on. I quite like just listing the titles, as then I don’t go into the book in detail until my review. So in the cases where the book wasn’t what I was expecting, you aren’t going to get conflicting descriptions of the plot.
I’m on three blog tours for certain this month. I have a physical ARC I need to get through that came as a surprise and is published soon. Plus, I have a few reads I’d maybe like to get through that publish in September.
- Wicked Little Deeds – Kat Ellis
- The Meeting Point -Olivia Lara
- A Master of Djinn – P. Djeli Clark
- A Clash of Steel – C.B Lee
- Not Here to Be Liked – Michelle Quach
As you can see, I have a lot that I need to be reading for this month and the next. So I’ll be fitting them in around my physical TBR
Physical TBR
Here is where I’d usually go into detail about the books I own that I want to read. You’d get to see the covers, and it would all be very pretty.
This month you’ll have to excuse me for not doing that.
As I said before, I don’t have many books that I actually want to talk about on this TBR. There are a few that will pop up in another post I have planned. But I kind of don’t want to reveal too much.
So this month, I’m just going to list three books that I plan on reading at some time during this month. Next month I’ll be back to normal with a new pile, and it’ll all be more exciting.
- Last One to Die – Cynthia Murphy
- A Trial of Sorcerers – Elise Kova
- The Key to Fear – Kristin Cast
Every other book is part of a project I’m doing, so you’ll have to wait and see about those.
Do you guys have any plans for this month’s reading? What books are you planning on picking up?
I hope you have a great reading month!
