So, I’ve spoken about booktube a few times on here. I watch a lot of it, as well as mangatube and it’s something I would really like to get into. There is a big issue in that I hate editing; so few views make it feel like all that time wasn’t worth it. But it’s something I’ve been thinking about trying again.
I’ve been thinking about making a return for a few weeks now. Not with regular videos. Even if I do have the time right now, I probably won’t for long, and I do still want to keep this blog going. So I really don’t have time to make it a too regular thing. But making videos when I have ideas? Maybe doing collective hauls?
I think that could work, at least for a bit.
So I’m going to give it a go.
I’ve already filmed and posted one video, a reading vlog of me reading the manga series Star-Crossed. It’s one I’ve talked about here before, and I decided to give it a second chance. Spoiler alert: I had a lot of fun. So please give it a watch.
Filming this did actually make me want to create more content. Not solely booktube, like if I do a collective haul, it might also contain stuff like anime and game merch. I talk about that sort of thing on here, too and on Instagram.
I want my content to be bookish and otaku, and that does give me a little more room to explore and try new things too.
It also would mean that when I go to events and things, I can show you guys a little more in my posts. Plus I can share my love for things in a way that I can’t with words. Though, honestly? I’m probably better in text than I am out loud, ha!
Honestly, I’m not really sure what I’m going to do about it. I’m posting about it to kind of get my thoughts out there. To share something I’ve been doing and hopefully hype myself up. I really want to give it another try; there’s just a small part of my mind holding me back, y’know?
