My Anticipated Releases – Books I’ve Preordered in January & February

My Anticipated Releases – Books I’ve Preordered in January & February

Ahh, preorders, what a great way to start the year. There are so many anticipated releases coming out this year. And though I can’t afford to preorder all of them, I have preordered a few in January and February.

So, I thought, why not share them with you guys? Add to your TBRs, haha. I won’t be posting regular lists of books I’m anticipating this year, as these posts take way too long. But I do want to take this opportunity to share some of the books and manga I’m excited about.

Starting with…

Will I Like This Book? – She Is A Haunting by Trang Thanh Tran

Will I Like This Book? – She Is A Haunting by Trang Thanh Tran

It’s time for another Will I Like This Book post! I’ve not gotten through all the YALC samplers yet! But since this one comes out early next year, I think now seems like a good time to get a post up, so we all have plenty of time to preorder what sounds like an amazing book! This one is being published by Bloomsbury, so keep an eye out.

She is A Haunting follows teenager Jade Nguyen who desperately needs money for college. She’s always lied, so summer with her estranged father in Vietnam should be something she can survive. She agrees to help him with the dilapidated French colonial house that he’s been renovating. One morning she wakes up feeling like something clawed down her throat from the inside, and a ghost bride visits her and tells her not to eat. When Jade’s dad and sister don’t believe her, she recruits Florence, who has been helping her with the house, to stage hauntings and scare them out of there. But the house has other plans. It’s hungry, and it won’t be abandoned again.

Will I Like This Book? – The Agency For Scandal by Laura Wood

Will I Like This Book? – The Agency For Scandal by Laura Wood

I’ve definitely been picking up more historical books recently. I’m slowly finding more that I enjoy set in the past, and this is another one that I’m excited about. There were ARCs of this available at YALC that I didn’t win, but I did pick up a sampler that included this book in it. The moment that I finished this sample, I emailed the publisher asking for an ARC in the hope they had more. It doesn’t sound like they did, so I’ll just have to wait. Sigh. I’m definitely going to read this book as soon as I can.

The Agency for Scandal follows eighteen-year-old Isobel, a young woman who is trying hard to hide from the society that her family is penniless. She works with a women’s detective agency to right wrongs and digs up scandals about the powerful men who deserve to be bought down. What she doesn’t expect is that one day a case will tangle her up with the Duke she’s been nursing a crush on, who doesn’t seem to know she exists. It’s coming out from Scholastic in January 2023.

Most Anticipated Fantasy Books of Early 2022

Most Anticipated Fantasy Books of Early 2022

We’re getting to the end of the year, and finally, I can start talking about the books I want to read next year. This post is a mix of books I have ARCs of and ones I’ve preordered. I’d usually prefer to focus on books that I haven’t yet ordered, but I’ve apparently gone on a bit of a requesting/preordering spree for the beginning of the year. Ooops? I will be doing a second anticipated releases post for contemporary and romance books, and a few of those I haven’t ordered yet. But for this post, at least, I can say for certain that I’ll own all these books before the end of May.

Romance Releases I’m Excited for This Autumn/Winter

Romance Releases I’m Excited for This Autumn/Winter

While other people are getting ready for the spooky season, I’ve already been reading a lot of thrillers. So I’m kind of in the mood to read more chick-lit and romance. I’m sure there will be plenty of new chick-lit out, but the majority of the books I’ve found for this post are romance novels. I’m always in the mood for a fun romantic story, no matter the time of year.

So these are books I’m excited about.

Anticipated Releases: May 2021

Anticipated Releases: May 2021

Honestly, I do mean to do these every month. But at the moment, it’s starting to seem like I’m doing them once every couple of months. It’s mostly because they can be a lot of work. I’m only going to list three books this time. I won’t be including any sequels. These are all first books or standalones. As usual, I’ll also list a few other books I’m interested in at the end, including sequels, that I don’t want to get more into.

Anticipated Releases: March 2021

Anticipated Releases: March 2021

I’m back with an anticipated releases post! I didn’t do one in February, mostly because the books that I wanted that were coming out, I either had as ARCs or preordered. I couldn’t think of enough books that were not on either of those lists, so I decided to skip the month.

This month I am including a few books I have preordered and quite a few sequels too. But I wanted to share my excitement for these books!

Anticipated Releases: January 2021

Anticipated Releases: January 2021

Can you believe it’s January already? It feels like yesterday that it was December…though that could be because I’m writing this in December, ha! But, honestly, I can’t believe the year is over with and we’re in 2021.

A new year means I want to try some new things with my blog. Though I’ve had this for a few years, this is going to be the first full year that I put total effort in all year round. I only started to really try with it last summer and the growth has been absolutely amazing. So I’m excited to keep it up and see where it goes. And that means that I need a few regular posts that you guys can look forward to.

You’ve already seen that I’m doing a mini TBR this month but I also want to talk about the books I’m looking forward to seeing released each month as well! Now, I most definitely won’t be buying all these books every month. And there may be months without a post if I can’t find anything that appeals but I’m looking forward to seeing what’s going to be out there each month!

So, without further ado, here are the books I’m excited for in January 2021!
