Critical Role Campaign 3 Book Tag

Critical Role Campaign 3 Book Tag

I’m back today with another book tag! I actually quite like coming up with these, and it’s fun to see other people do them. So I thought I’d pull another one together for a break between the many reviews I’m posting!

I’ve talked about roleplay a few times before, but DnD and tabletop gaming isn’t something I’ve tried yet. But I enjoyed the podcast Spellcheck DnD enough that I’ve tried checking out some other groups playing it. Critical Role is one of the biggest of these fandoms, if not the biggest. I’d always struggled to get into their games in the past until I got to campaign 3 and Bells Hells. Something about this group and their story has grabbed me, and now I’m more than a little obsessed.

With today’s tag, I’m going to be listing all the members so far of the chaotic Hells Bells and giving you prompts relating to them!

Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Merchandise I’d Love To Own

Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Merchandise I’d Love To Own

I wasn’t necessarily planning on doing another one of these posts for a while, but when I saw the prompt, I couldn’t resist. So, this won’t be a traditional Top Ten Tuesday post for me. If I wanted to, I could just list fandoms I want to see merch for or types of merch I’d love to see more of. I could even scour the internet and find specific items.

But I wanted to do something more fun.

I’m going to mention a few specific types of merch I’d like to see for particular fandoms. I can’t make them myself, but who knows? Maybe this will spark some of your imaginations.

The Top Ten Tuesday tag was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now held over on The Artsy Reader Girl. It’s a weekly tag where everyone is given a bookish prompt for bloggers to curate a top ten list. You can then share your blog post over on The Artsy Reader Girl’s post for that week. Just make sure you check out and comment on other people’s blog posts too!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books With An Adjective In The Title

Top Ten Tuesday: Books With An Adjective In The Title

We’re here with another Top Ten Tuesday! My posting schedule this week is a bit of a mess, so I thought, why not write another one of these posts? It’s a lot of fun to go through my bookshelves to find ten books that I want to list. This time I won’t go into detail about the books, as the theme for the week is just talking about book titles!

For those of you who don’t remember your English classes from school, an adjective is a describing word. These come in many forms, and they can definitely add colour to a book title. Or make them something people make fun of. Both work.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Enjoyed, but Have Never Mentioned On My Blog

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Enjoyed, but Have Never Mentioned On My Blog

I couldn’t resist doing a tag where I talk about some of my slightly more obscure favourite books. Admittedly, I have included a few more well-known titles too, as I haven’t spoken about them before This was a pretty fun list to pull together, and I obviously highly recommend all these books. So if any of them grab your interest – let me know! I’d be happy to see others read them.

Top Ten Tuesday: Dynamic Duos

Top Ten Tuesday: Dynamic Duos

I’m back with another Top Ten Tuesday post! I’ll be honest, this post was actually harder to curate than the last one. This week we’re talking about dynamic duos. Aka the friendships we adore, or our favourite characters who are probably causing trouble together! I adore a good friendship, but I wanted a little variety in this list. So we have a few duos that are family too, but that doesn’t make them any less fun.

Pop Punk Book Tag

Pop Punk Book Tag

I love pop-punk music. I listen to a wide variety, but if I had to single out one genre, I’d have to choose pop-punk. My top two favourite bands are Simple Plan and Marianas Trench. Then there’s also Arrows in Action who are quickly moving up the list. Obviously, my main passion is books, so when I saw Alyce from The Bumbling Book Blogger Youtube channel post her pop-punk book tag…I obviously had to do it!

Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2021

Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2021

On my blog this year, I want to do more tags and challenges. They’re great fun and can be a way to be a little bit more social. This week I’m starting myself off with a meme, and that’s Top Ten Tuesday which is run by That Artsy Reader Girl. I couldn’t resist doing this week’s challenge as I want to talk about some authors.

So this list is a list of authors who already had books out when I finally picked them up. I’ll mostly be talking about the books I read by them, but some of them I’m definitely going to read more of.

I spent plenty of time going over my spreadsheet from last year to narrow this down. Many of the authors I hadn’t read before were debuts, and I didn’t want to include them. Something interesting I noticed was that a lot of these are contemporary or romance authors. That makes sense, as I did really get into reading those genres in 2021. I do kinda wish there had been a little more fantasy, so hopefully, that’ll change in 2022.

For now, though, let’s get on with the list.

Spotify Wrapped Book Challenge 2021

Spotify Wrapped Book Challenge 2021

It is Spotify Wrapped time again! We all love seeing our favourite songs, what genres we seem to like the most etc. It’s so much fun, and last year I came up with the Spotify Wrapped book challenge.

The idea of this challenge is to put your 2021 playlist on shuffle, and for the first five songs, you need to pick a book you read in 2021 that fits that song. It doesn’t have to be a perfect fit. You just have to explain why you chose that book for that song. Obviously, you will not have a book match for every song, so you can skip if you need to. But the idea is that you at least need to try, even if it is embarrassing. This was a lot of fun last year, and I’m excited to be doing it again. I hope you all will too!

Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag 2021

Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag 2021

I know I’ve already done a kind of mid year post with stats, but the very lovely Amy @ A Fangirl’s Opinon tagged me to do this tag. And could I resist? Of course not! Since you’re here, why not pop over to her blog when you’ve finished reading this and check out her answers too!

Try A Chapter Tag

Try A Chapter Tag

This was a tag that I tried out back when I was on Booktube because it seemed like a fun way to talk about some books that I’ve not read. It went a little…messy, but I enjoyed it. It was something that I wanted to do again, but this time on my blog! Usually, people pick 5 books, and they read the first chapter.

I’ve pulled out four books that are all very different, that I’m not quite sure how I’m going to feel about them. They’re all books I want to read, obviously. But two came from book boxes, so I didn’t pick them myself, and the other two are books I’ve heard good things from other people about.
