We’re a fair way through October, and that means that NaNoWriMo is on the horizon. It’s something that I always want to do, but it’s not something that I always have time for. I am working this year, but something might happen that’ll mean I’m not in the mood for writing. But I’m trying to keep positive for now.
Last year I tried and once again failed. I’ve only managed to succeed once and only because I was just finishing something off. I’m kind of tired of just feeling like I can’t complete anything.

Oh, man. I know people are saying don’t be so hard on yourself this year and I’m not. But I didn’t reach 50k words, so, that is technically a failure. However, I’m not mad at myself or disappointed or anything.
I was so determined to finish Alice Fantasia but when it came down to it…I just didn’t care enough.

Ah, so I actually reached my second post about Nano. For a moment, I wasn’t sure I would.
The problem I’ve been having is that I’m just writing? Like, I don’t mean I’m spending all my time writing. Though, certainly a fair chunk of my days. But I mean I’ve still got no outline or plan. I have some ideas I’d like to see happen later on but nothing solid. So even if I was someone who could write out of order, I wouldn’t be able to do.
I’m just getting on my laptop, checking what I last wrote. And once Write or Die is open I just type and see what happens.
It’s a lot of fun but it’s also not something I’ve done so regularly in such a long while which is such a shame. I mean, I haven’t even really been rping so my brain is just kind of flaking out at times and I’m having some days where I’m not writing as much. But it’s okay. I’m on target. As I write this I’ve got just under 20k written. Which is a lot. I’ll have written a good bit more by the time this post goes up though, or at least I hope so, ha!

Hello, Nanowrimo is here again and this time I’m going to succeed and try to blog it too!
Last year I declared I was going to do it then failed. I was busy on my coding course, even took the 1st off as I knew I’d do nothing on the 2nd with it being my birthday. And then I went back into the office and flopped.

Nanowrimo is just around the corner and I’m going to get my butt into gear and win it!
You might know that I started a novel – YA Irish fairy tale retelling – earlier this year but it quickly fizzled out. I still love the idea but I don’t have the inspiration. So for a few months this has been an excuse for my lazy self not to write much of anything other than the odd short fanfic.
